Lilith

A Rereading of Feminine Shadow
By Ohad Ezrahi & Marc Gafni, 2006

Lilith by Ohad Ezrahi and Marc Gafni

In Lilith, Ohad Ezrahi and Marc Gafni provide insights into the deep context in sources of Hebrew wisdom for this core idea that the exile of the Shekinah is in one expression, the exile of the erotic into the sexual. This idea is possibly best expressed in the Raya Mehimna and Tiqunei Zohar literature. Based on the biblical verse “and a maidservant that inherits her mistress” (Proverbs 30:23), the Shekinah in exile is said to be the state in which the maidservant has inherited her place.

This is a Raw and unedited translation of the Hebrew book that was written at the end of the 1990’s and published by Modan Publishing in 2006, Israel.
